Can a parent emmancipate himself from his children?

The word emancipate means to become an adult. A child is emancipated when he turns 18 or possibly graduates high school. What is your underlying question? Child-support related? Child support stops at one of three times: age 18, high school graduation, or age 19...depends when/if child is in high school.
