Establishing Paternity

I am trying to establish paternity of my daughter and im not sure what to do. I have already completed a DNA test proving that i am the father but have never been to court. Can my daughters mother and I sign the Illinois Voluntary Acknowledgment of Paternity papers to establish paternity and if so what would be the next step?
