Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My ex-boyfriend and I have a one year old son together. He does not pay child support. I am thinking about moving out of state. Are there any legal obstacles I might run into regarding my son moving with me out of state?

If there was or is a parentage case on file in Illinois regarding the child and his parents, then you need a court order to leave. If there is no case, then you are not under any restrictions. whether he is paying support or not is not important - although it night be a factor in allowing removal.
