Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My ex-husband has custody of my 2 kids and is taking me back to court for more child support. I do not make much as I do home daycare for a neighbors kid so I can stay home and take care of my other child who is only 18 months old. Can a judge make me put her in daycare and find a better paying job so I can pay my ex more in child support?

A judge can find you are under-employed and order you to pay support based upon what your income should be, but with an 18 month old, it's a hard road to go down. A court could make you look for job.
