Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

If my ex-wife files a claim with the state of Illinois for Continuing Education Support for my son, is it taken into consideration by the state what amounts I have been and am currently paying for in regard to his education, such as books, residential hall fees, charges on his student ID, etc., and simple transfers into his account for meals? Do I get to present my proof of support over the last year?

Yes. The court will consider your and your ex's income and assets. You should provide proof of what you have paid. However if you haven't paid tuition but paid other things, the ocurt may order you to contribute to the child's tuition costs also.
