when someone wrongfully accuses you of child abuse can you sue them for defamation of character.

Yes. The problem is finding a lawyer who will take on your case without substantial money up front.

Probably not. And really, what is the big deal? Are you the CEO of Google? A majority of women (and some men) claim abuse as a tactic. Its so bad that many courts and people assume claims of abuse are fake.
