Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Family Asset question

My father and my mother have separated. My father lives in another country now. My mother is here in the states. My father just recently had a stroke and I am wondering how we can go about checking on his assets to make sure that it goes to my mom and our family? How would I go about finding out if he has a will? Do I need to hire a lawyer? If so what kind and do you have any recommendations? How should we go about handling this situation as my father is unable to speak and has just left the hospital. Please advise.

Re: Family Asset question

Determining his assets are not of concern. Our office has the necessary tools to determine any and all assets a spouse may have, or is concealing. Obvioulsy, your mother would be entitled to her fair share.
