Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Family Law

My teen-aged son wanted to live with his father, so I let him, and now my ex-husband has custody of my son, and wants me to pay him child support. But when I had custody, I was only awarded child support for 6 of the 15 years that I had custody of him ( we were separated for all of my son's life, and only divorced when he was about 9). Is there a statute of limitations for child support in Illinois? Could I appeal the original child support decision in order to receive back child support? It was requested, but not addressed in the divorce decree and I was not in attendance, nor did I have an attorney.

Re: Family Law

Do you have some reason, i.e. new information, that would show the existing decision is flawed. Just wanting more money is not enough.
