Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
Family Law/Dependency/Insurance question
This is a strange one, sorry. My wife and I took a wonderful former student of hers under our wing ~10 yrs ago. She now lives with us fulltime and attends college. She has Medicaid coverage via her mom but I would like her to be covered by my employer's medical/dental/vision insurance. What is required to make her an eligible dependent- affidavit/petition to state? Thank you.

I do not know how old the student is or what her relationship is to you (adopted, guardian, etc), but obviously employers are not going to be real easy about allowing just anyone to throw any person they want on their insurance. Remember is costs the company a lot of money to fund employees insurance.
