Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

If a father of a child insists that he does not have a 'mental' problem and does not want anything to do with the mother who is 'mental' does he still have to provide money to the mother and child if he doesn't want them anymore?

yes - a child is not a thing to be thrown away. he has an obligation to contribute to the support of the child.
