Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I have seen the father of my child slap his 7 month old child in the face and throw his puppy against the wall causing a 4 inch hole. Can I get supervised visits if he takes me to court for my son?

Hello. That is criminal behavior. As the other parent you have a duty, by law, to report what he is doing. You could be charged with neglect, if you do not take action immediately. In my opinion, most courts would bar your son's father from visitation if the matter were to go to court.
