Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
favorable judgment based on purgery
I realized recently that my former husband lied when I questioned him in court about an income tax statement( which would have meant an almost doubling in child support). This is one of many lies he used to manipulate me and torment me to give him the children because he could provide a better life (the divorce drove me into poverty with four kids 7 and under at the time). I did not fight the judgment because I did not recall the information that I know have. In any case, since so much time has elapsed, I am wondering if there is anything I can do from a legal standpoint. His actions from cheating on me and deserting his family, to lies about income ruined my life. I eventually did give him custody because I wanted to give my children a stable home, with a neighborhood and a school. I barely could afford rent. I had withing the first two years of custody had to move my children 3 times....Today, I have lost so much because of him. He never paid marital debt until I brought him back to court six years later-he crippled my credit rating, prevented me from going back to college to finish my degree so I could find work that paid a wage that was livable...I'm wondering if the court system has any justice for individuals such as him?

I am not sure what you are looking for. If you are owed money from your ex, you can go after him.
