Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My fiance` and i are getting married. We both pay our exes child support. Mine is in KS and his is in IL. We we both be legally responsible for each others child support? Will they be combined?

Each person's assets can be taken for payment of the other person's obligation. The best way to avoid the problem is through a pre-nup. That is the best protection for what your worried about. Let me know if you have any other questions.
