Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My Fiancee's Ex husband's Kids

My fiancee lives in IL and I live in WI. In her divorce agreement it states she need to ask permission for her and her kids to visit me in WI. I have not met the kids as of yet. So we decided to meet each other in IL to benefit the kids not going through a scene by the ex hunsband. So as I was driving to meet her and the kids in IL, she called me up and told me that if I get close to her kids he will call the State Police and make their presence know. This guy is psycho. He threatens me with a background check that never happens so on and so forth. What can I do to combat this clown...legally? PLease advise. Thanks

Re: My Fiancee's Ex husband's Kids

Hello and Happy New Year. I suggests

that you ask your fiance to consider

getting an order of protection on the

grounds that she is being stalked by

her ex. Essentially he is stalking her every time she make plans for the

kids to meet you. Otherwise he would

not even know when you are coming

into Illinois. As long as the allega-

tions in the petition for emergency

order of protection are true; great! If this is not the case, don't do it. In that case your fiance should go back to Court and ask the Judge to set a specific day and time when the kids will meet you for the first time in Illinois. I will be happy to discuss this matter with you further and in more detail.
