I would like to file for a divorce im currently unemployed can I request maintenace

Maintenance depends on numerous factors. How long have you been unemployed? How long were you makrried? Did you work throughout the marriage? What standard of living did you and your spouse enjoy during the marriage? Maintenance is more often awarded to a partner that has not worked for a more extended period of time during the marriage and whom relied on the other spouse for support? If your unemployment is semi temporary and you have always worked during the marriage, you likely wont be able to get maintenance, but I would have to know more details about your situation.
