How soon can I file a divorce in USA.

Im a 27 yr girl. I was married in India and my husband is on H1 in Chicago from 6 months now. I have joined him in US about a month ago. Right from the day one we had differences among us and I now want get divorced from him.

Can I file a divorce now or should I have to wait?

Should I need to spend a specified amount of time with my husband to file a divorce?

If it is by mutual consent, how long will it approximately take for me to get divorce?

If there is no mutual consent for divorce among us, will my husband prevent me from getting divorce?

Please help me.

You can file a divorce anytime. You have to be a resident of Illinois for 90 days prior to judgment. Your husband cannot prevent you from getting a divorce
