Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I have filed for divorce. Didn't want all the drama of serving my husband so asked my attorney to just send him the papers. Meanwhile, I told my husband what I had done and he ( who is an attorney, but not a divorce attorney) gave me his proposal in writing and asked if me, my attorney and him could just meet to discuss. My attorney said no he would have to fill an appearance and then we would dicuss. My husband was very angry and did nothing so therefore had to have him served. He dodged the sheriff serving him 3 times and now the detective just got him tonight and he went mad. Not really understanding why??? We don't have alot of money just a good size 401k. Our children are teenagers so therefore no big custody issues. He doesn't love me anymore what is going on? Why is he going crazy by being served? He had already recieved the papers what could he be going nuts over???

You should be talking to your divorce attorney rather than posting questions on here. The last time you posted here, you gave your husband copies of the answers you received and he then sent "hate" mail to the two attorneys who tried to answer your questions. Apparently, your husband is very controlling. It also sounds like he is abusive toward you. Divorce is a time of great stress and your confiding in your husband rather than talking to your own lawyer is dangerous since your husband has anger management issues. Strongly recommend that you have your lawyer seek exclusive possession of the marital home and temporary support and custody of any minor children.

Bottom-line, talk to your lawyer, don't post questions here, and don't tell your husband what you are doing.

Panel members - husband is monitoring these communications and then communicating with counsel who have answered. Remember Sue -. She has an attorney. He will complain about any answer you give.
