Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Filing for simplified divorce

I am filing for a simplified divorce. One of the first things on there is for my address and his address. After it asks for street address and city it just lists the state as Illiois. My husband lives in Missouri so I'm not sure what to do about that. I have one other question. They ask for proof of income. I have no income and don't know how to handle that part of it. My boyfriend has been taking care of me.Please help!

Re: Filing for simplified divorce

Hello. Provide as much information as you can

on the complaint form. Since your husband lives

in Missouri, "cross out" Illinois and put Missouri. I do suggests that you pay a lawyer to

look over the form, after you have filled in the

information. For the income section, write unemployed. As long as you tell the truth, you

will not be criticized.
