Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I found out 2 months ago that I have a son that is 16 years old. Had no idea before that, just dated his mom a couple times. She moved to north carolina before he was born. Had a dna test run and showed he is mine. I live in Illinois. Can his mother get me for back child support?
