Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
My friend's legal guardian has sent her out of state to live with her mother. She is 17 years of age. In the eyes of the law, she has done nothing wrong, and was doing very well in school. He has sent her away because she "got on his last nerve" so to speak. She says that she cannot return to her home state until she turns 18 years of age, or unless her mother moves there. Honestly, does her legal guardian have the right to do this if she has done nothing wrong, other than make him angry?

Yes he can. I'm assuming the legal guardian is her father and he and mother have decided that it is best for the girl to live with her mother for awhile. Regardless, as long as she is a minor, he has every right to make such decisions for her.
