Can my ex get full custody of our son if i move out of state?

My son is 2 and his father just started seeing him. I told him that he could get joint custody of him but he said he only wanted him every other weekend. When i told him that i want to move out of state next year, and that i would bring him back for all his visits, he said that he is going to get me for kidnapping and try to take full custody of him. He wont even pay child support. I have two other sons that i have sole custody of and i don't want to split them up. What are the chances of him getting full custody? Or making me stay in IL?

Given your issues, you need to get an attorney and petition the court to allow you to move with your child. If you have a legitimate reason to move, it should not be a problem. DO NOT move without permission. In my experience, the court will normally allow the move, and if it causes inconvienance for the other parent, that is too bad for that parent. The comments from your ex are just threats, and common when one parent does not have control over the situation. I have handled issues like this before and would be willing to represent you for this limited matter.
