Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

i have grandparents right to my grandchild in illinois. the mother has to have supervised visit to see her child. father is deceased.mother is under investigation for a another child deceased under mothers care. child has been in foster care since 2008. i want to take the child out of town for a weekend. the mother says no. how can she have a say so in these matters. and her child has been in foster care for this long. i would also like to have custody of this child. no other family. what can i do

You can ask the court for guardianship of the child. The mother should not be a problem in terms of showing the court she is unfit. You will need a lawyer for this type of matter.
