Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

harassment

I am going through a divorce and my husband has been harassing me with phone calls, threats among other things. I tried to get an order of protection but the judge said it is normal arguments between a couple. I kept a journal and recorded some of the calls but was told the judge woun't even look at it. now he is calling my family and friends saying the same. Is there anything that can be done.

Re: harassment

You will probably have more success talking to the judge if you have a lawyer. If your ex is calling family members and making serious trouble, then that is more than "regular arguments." Please feel free to give us a call if you want to talk.

Re: harassment

Yes. Get a lawyer and file a a TRO against him. That is the best way to go forward.
