home paid for with inheritance money..am I entitled to half?
My husband and I were married April 8th 2000. My husbands parents who lived in Minnesota passed away and my husband inherited a large sum of money..With the money he bought and paid for two vehicles..both our names..also bought and paid for our home that we share. also set up several joint account cd's. He gets a pension from the VA and that is what we live on..I get a small amount of social security..He says tha t I am entitled to nothing as I cant touch anything he bought with the inheritance. Is this true? If so..what rights do I have to our present home in which my name is on deed. thank you kindly .
