Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

MY and husband and his ex-fiance had a son and he signed the Voluntary Acknowledgement of Paternity document. His ex fiance moved out of state with his son. We are now trying to get custody of his son. His ex and son and my husband and I all reside in Illinois. I was wondering will Illinois enforce the parenity order from ohio with their laws or will they go by ohio laws?
