Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
My ex husband filed bankruptcy after our divorce was final, now I'm trying to get money he agreed to pay in our divorce papers and his attorney wants to have this dimissed. What can I do to prove he should still pay that money and it should not be dismissed?

Depends on the nature of the "debt." If the debt was dischargable in bankruptcy, and you didn't file an objection, then you "eat" the bill. If it's non-dischargable, then maybe you have a case. Talk to a family law attorney, if the other side has one and you don't, I'll put $100 that they'll clean you out in court.
