Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
My husband is a Second Lieutenant in the Army Reserves but also holds a full-time civilian position with the DOD that requires him to be active military personnel to hold the position. We are separated and I have been informed that military spousal support is 30%, but need to clarify if the 30% only pertains to his USAR pay or both the DOD and USAR pay?

Hello. My answer here is based upon the statements made by you in your posting. I suggests that you start by hiring an attorney to protect your rights to any and all benefits that your husband has. It probably will be necessary to contact the Army directly, but again, I suggests that you have an attorney do this on your behalf. It may be necessary to file for legal separation to insure that your rights as your husband's spouse are protected. I have additional suggestions and comments that I can make.
