Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My husband and i live in an apartment. A week ago, while was working, he pack up what he wanted, took our dogs, and left with no notice whatsoever. is there anything I can do to get my dogs back. What should i do as to filing for divorce. He left me to pay the bills and i have no access to money from him. before i decide to file is there anything i can do beforhand i dont want to file and have no idea what to do

There are legal clinics where you may be able to get help. If your husband works he may be required to cover your attorney fees. Go to a clinic!! Law schools usually have one. Or your neighborhood may. Good luck.
