Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My husband and I have been separated since 1997 and my daughter told me he has cancer. I know he is in a lot of debt and I'm wondering if he does die, am I responsible for his debt?

Debt for what. If they are on joint credit cards, yes you are liable. If they are debts in his name alone they probably not.
