Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My husband has a son that he pays child support for a visitation agreement was never set in place. They verbally had a every other weekend agreement now the mother up and moved out of state. Does my husband have any rights ? We dont have a lot of money to hire a lawyer that why she is getting away with this.

You can go to 28 North Clark, 2nd fl and file a pro se action to establish visitation if the child was born out of wedlock or you can go to the 8th floor of the Daley Center if your husband was ever married to the mother. There is a Help Desk on the 30th floor that will help him prepare the "complaint." In this state, once paternity has been establish, Mom needs the father's consent or a court order to move out of state with the minor child.

This is something your husband should be able to do on his own or he can work through one of the legal aid associations.
