Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Can my ex husband stop me from moving out of state and if he agrees can he stop paying child support for our son because he doesnt wish to send it to the new state I will be living in? He has agreed to let me move as long as he doesnt need to send the money monthly but will place it in an account for the child, so if an issue arises that the money is needed it is there.

Unless your judgment allows you to leave the state, you can not leave without his agreement or an order of court. If you are granted leave to remove, he has to continue to pay support.
