Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My ex husband wants to take his one week uninterrupted vacation with our children during my daughters birthday. Our divorce papers clearly state kids birthdays are with him 1/2 day and me 1/2 day. What do I do?

Let him take his vacation. However, if your Judgment states that holiday visitation takes priority over vacation visitation, then your ex will still have to split the kid's birthday with you. He cannot use his vacation time to deprive you of an assigned holiday. On the other hand if vacation time is given priority over other visitaiton, specifically holiday visitation, then you lose your half day.
