Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

In illinois does the father have to pay for the if it childs collage even if its not in the court order . Also i was not married to the mother.

You have no obligation to contribute to college expenses if there is no court order to that effect. On the other hand, the mother can file a Petition for Contribution to College Expenses at the time the child starts college or anytime thereafter, asking the court to order you to pay a portion of the college-related expenses. The court will then determine each parent's share based upon all available resources.
