Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I'm from Illinois. I have a friend who is allowing her underage son, age 14, to move in with her adult son, age 19. She asked me to see if she needed a POA on her underage even though she has sole cutody. Will she be revoking those rights if she allows him to move out?
