Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I am Indian national who was married to a U.S citizen in 1995. The marriage was not consummated and was in trouble from day 1. Eventually, we divorced in 2001 In the interim, in 1998 I married an Indian student who was in U.S on an F1 visa. This marriage was not registeredNow, we have separated since Aug 2002 due to irreconcilable differences and I want an official divorce. What are my legal options?

You need to contact a divorce lawyer/immigration lawyer to assist you. The first marriage is over and is irrelevant except for the fact that it made your second marriage void at the time it was entered into. However your later divorce may have resolved that proplem and made your second marriage valid. I don't know without reviewing all the documents. Also, I am not sure what you mean when you say the second marriage was not registered. This is not the kind of question which can be answered in this forum.
