Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
inheritence
is my daughter in law entitled to inheritence that my son gets from his parents after we are deceased. she seems to think so, this is a bitter divorce. i cant imagine her getting a penny of our money, and what can we do to prevent. we dont plan on dying for at least 20-25 yrs, thanks

Re: inheritence
Were you to die, your estate would pass to your children. If they are married and subsequently die, their estate (including the inheritance) would then go to their spouse. A trust for the sole benefit of your son , would avoid this.
