Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Are insurance deductibles and uncovered expense?

My ex recently change to a high deductible ($4300) medical insurance plan. He is responsible for providing medical coverage for our child, but is now telling me I have to pay a % of the deductible since we split the cost of uncovered expenses.

This doesn't see correct to me, since I now have to pay towards his deductible to get any insurance benefits for our child.

Doesn't providing coverage mean providing medical benefits? otherwise, I'm paying to get medical benefits for our child?

Please clarify, are deductibles an uncovered expense or are deductibles an expense required to provide medical coverage?

He has to provide comparable coverage. Obviosuly he cannot say "Fine, I have to provide coverage, Im going to find the worst coverage possible." A judge will look down on such behavior.
