Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

The judge made a decision on property division and was supposed to enter a judgement for dissolution of marriage. I thought it was entered and I prematurely filed a motion to reconsider the property and when I did, my husband's lawyer filed a continuance. There is a status date scheduled for oct 12. When is this divorce going to be over? What happens if I don't show up for the status?

Sounds to me like you are the one dragging this on. Accept the Judge's recommendation, sign the settlement agreement and go to proveup if you want the divorce over. If you want to keep fighting, refuse the Judge's recommendation and stop complaining.
