Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Hello judge Mathis I just had a baby 2 months ago and the father does not want anything to do with my child due to the fact he said he never wanted any kids I'm in the process of filing for child support but my childs father says he is going to look into signing his rights over as a parent and will ask an attorney about that Is he able to do so just so he wont have responsibility as a parent or to pay child support

A father can not "sign over " his rights unless there is someone willing to accept those rights, as in an adoption. If the kids is his, he has to pay support.
