Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My kids mother left the state of Illinois three years ago without getting my written consent.Is that legal?Also she got my kid taken away by the state of new mexico.How can I get him back?

You waited 3 years before doing anything, which does not help your case. You can contact the New Mexico authorities, maybe they can do something for you - Illinois has lost jurisdiction over the child.
