Laws regarding 17 year old

We live in Lake County Illinois and my 18 year old son is dating a 17 year old that has a 3 year old daughter.

She wants to move out of her Mother's home and get an apartment with my son.

Since she is 17 can she legally do this without having any involvement from the police now or later?

Technically she is a minor and under her mother's supervision. Practically the mother can make trouble.

You can file for formal emancipation of the 17 year old. You can ask the mother to consent to the daughter leaving or basically have her leave but make sure to comply if she is told otherwise. Or you can wait till she turns 18.
