Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

do I need a lawyer if only property is involved & children r over the age of 18? do I need a lawyer if only a divorce is the case & can the cost b split between the two being divorced?

It is possible for you to do the divorce without a lawyer, especially if there is only property involved and you are both in agreement as to how the property will be split. There are also many attorneys who will do an "agreed" divorce for a fairly inexpensive fee. Check around. And yes, you can split the fee.
