Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I am leaving my husband, I am looking to buy a home with someone before my divorce is filed, will my husband be able to claim that property in a divorce settlement? If so, do I have any other options? Its the only way I can leave him and have another residence.

Any property acquired during the marriage is marital property. HE can claim an interest in the property. What it is worth is a different issue.
