legal marriage

is a couple considered married after 19 yrs of living together? and what are my rights as a wife that has been cheated on with another women and left me.

Illinois does not recognize common law marriage. It does not matter how long you've lived together. You have no legal rights as a wife. Unless you and he have minor children that must be supported, he owes you nothing.
