Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

i need to know what my legal rights are

the cops took my kids and we have been working with dcfs but the cop that took them keeps coming back and demanding us to let him in with out anyone calling him or without a warent and i just need to know if i still have to let him in

Generally speaking, police cannot enter your home without a warrant, or you letting them. If no children are left in the home, and there is no probable cause to think a felony is in progress, they cannot come in.

My question is why would a police officer waste his time coming to your home? I think there is more to the story here.
