Iwant to buy a house and I am legally separated. Does my wife get half

If you are "legally" separated your separation documents will address this question. You should look at them. My suspicion is that you and your wife are merely separated as in not living together. The result is "legally" different. Contact the lawyer who obtained the legal separation for you. That person can answer your question or handle things for you now.
