Getting Legally Seperated

I was wondering exactly what I need to do to get a legal seperation in IL. My husband wants the divorce I dont so should he file for legal seperationg or does it not matter. We were married in IL and right now he lives in Washington State and Im in IL. Do I need a lawyer or can I do it online?

You cannot circumvent a court of law with the internet. I recommend that you talk to a lawyer to determine whether you should get a "legal" separation (which I do not recommend), or get a divorce. Please call for an appointment (free).
