legitimize child
is it easier to legitimize a child with no father on his birth certificate or to adopt. child 15 and has lived with mother and stepfather since age of 3. biological father has never seen or been involved with child.

You can file for adoption. Then you must give notice to the father. If you don't know where he is, then you give notice by publication. If he doesn't file an objection within 30 days, you can go forward with the adoption. Please call for a free consultation.
