Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I am going thru a lenghthy divorce & live in Illinois. I had an affair and my husband and family found out about it. My husband & I originally were going to stay under the same roof but not only was he verbally abusive but 2 of my adult children were not only verbally abusive but thru my things out in the gargage and both got physical. One nnite when I returned home it was below zero and all the doors were locked and windows bolted. I ended up sleeping in the car. My husband never responded to my pleas. I felt that for my own safety I would reside with my boyfriend . The judge felt since I wasn't in the marital home (above reason) I shouldn't get even temporary maintennce. My lawyer hs explained that the above reason and I should move back into my home. ALthough I would be subjecting myself to the same I am wondering why the judge wouldn't see fit to either give me access to the house or the maintence. The opossing atty in certain filings recently has also referred it to the marital home

You have a lawyer. It would be unethical for us to interfere and respond.
