Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I live in Adams county il. I have been dating my girlfriend for four years. She has been divorced for eight years. She has a 17 year old daughter. We would like to move in together or at least stay the night together. Her ex has informed her and kids that its illegal for me to stay there. Are there ways around this? He would likely push the issue. He has been remarried for eight years it's just a control issue at this point not a best for the child issue for him. But none the less what's my legal standpoint? Thank you.

It is not illegal for you to stay there. While I do not practice in Adams County, a 17 year old girl probably knows more than you and your girlfriend do about sex. If Dad wants custody, by the time it gets for a hearing she probably will be 18 and can live where she wants anyway. Practically he is bullying her and you.
